Malibu, California: Dome Cove Engagement at Sunset

Spontaneous California engagement session for the win. Morgan and Nolan have a wedding coming up in the fall (my birthday to be exact). An adventure Dome Cove engagement at sunset was on the list!

I knew from the start these two would be a blast! Native to Ohio, they moved out to LA about 6 years ago. The down to earth vibes mixed with spunk made me really want to meet up before their Palm Springs wedding day! I found myself headed to Vegas for a work trip with a few open days to scoot over to LA and cruise around!

When they found out, I’m pretty sure they were just as ecstatic. We jumped on the phone and planned. The Cali engagement session was with little notice. However, their complete trust in me meant the world!

Hopped on a plane and off I went!

We met up on a Friday evening ready to go for their session at Malibu beach. Dome Cove to be exact! I had done a little homework and thought this place would be great! As we started making our way down the coast from LA to Malibu in bumper to bumper traffic- I started to worry!

We finally made it down to the spot with a bit of light left. We made our way down the trail to only realize the stairs were gone! Like gone, GONE! So, we decided to still explore and climb down. After we made it down we got to work! Finally kicking our shoes off.

I’m not going to lie, with hair like they have and the beach line being empty- I pretty much made them run… ALOT! I love movement in photos. Getting to know them a bit more, we laughed and explored the shore line. We grabbed dinner on the pier after their totally rad Cali engagement at sunset experience. Making my first official day in LA wonderful!
