Mountain Top Love at Mt. Shasta

A ceremony binds love. Some may think a piece of paper does, but it’s truly the vow you give to your partner during your ceremony celebration.

Todd and Cristina did just that a little under 15 years ago. While their anniversary is in September of this year, the couple was super excited to learn I would be in Cali as the same time as them! We chatted about their anniversary session and what they were hoping for!

The two had their engagement photos done on the Diestlehorst Bridge in Redding, Ca. They had hoped for some fond memories to reminisce of. Aside from that they let me plan out and give them the Chickadees experience. We chatted about the style guide and what to expect before, during and after.

I knew going into this I would be thrilled with the outcome, never thought I’d be blown away with how gorgeous they looked, the breathtaking view and loving the cool California breeze surrounding them. First thought, “I’m headed to the mountains of the west coast, a Jeep rental is needed!” I was lucky to get a pretty decent looking silver jeep wrangler to enjoy myself, especially if headed up to Mt. Shasta, Ca.

I drove up on a Thursday evening to Mt. Shasta scooping the overlooks and mountains out. I have spent several summers out in Redding collecting some fond memories growing up, so I knew giving a piece of my heart in with their love would make the experience unforgettable. That next day we all headed over to the river to dance under the bridge, drive up to a relaxing overlook and enjoy a champagne pop to celebrate a grand 15 years of love.

I’ll let the photos tell the rest of the story!

“Having our anniversary photos in the same place as our engagement session was from 15 years ago was blissful.”
